Marcon Fit-Out were appointed Principal contractor for the fit out of the new 15000 sq ft bar and restaurant, Char + Mash, at the SSE Arena in Belfast.
The name “Char + Mash” is a nod to Belfast’s history of whiskey production and shipbuilding.
It is a thoughtfully designed to reflect Belfast’s industrial heritage, with exposed elements and thoughtful design touches, including exposed steel, textured timber and warm lighting. The new venue features six distinct areas including cosy dining zones, a VIP tasting room, and a spacious terrace.
Appointed as the specialist fit-out contractor, Marcon delivered a full internal fit-out across the space, with a strong focus on bespoke craftsmanship and high-end finishes.
The new venue has been selected as a finalist in the 2025 Fit Out Project of the Year Hospitality (Bar) category.
