NI Environmental Benchmarking Survey Award 2025
Marcon has once again achieved Platinum status at the Northern Ireland Environmental Benchmarking Survey, marking another significant milestone in its commitment to environmental excellence. The awards took place this week at Titanic Belfast, where representatives from across industry gathered to recognise leading performers in sustainability.
The Northern Ireland Environmental Benchmarking Survey — along with the Small Business Survey — benchmarks organisations against peer groups and leading Northern Ireland businesses. The assessment measures environmental management and performance across key areas, while also examining how deeply sustainability practices are embedded into corporate strategy. Both surveys are widely regarded as strong influencers for positive change, enabling organisations to publicly demonstrate ongoing commitment to responsible and improved environmental performance.
This year’s event saw an impressive turnout, with more than 150 companies from various sectors taking part. Marcon extended thanks to Business in the Community Northern Ireland (BITCNI) and event sponsor Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company for their continued support in hosting the initiative.
Acknowledgement was also given to the entire Marcon team for their dedication to driving continual improvement. A particular highlight was recognition of SHEQ Manager Andrew Watson, who commented:
“Marcon is proud to have achieved this recognition for the second consecutive year. It reflects the standards our team upholds and the strength of our ESG strategy in practice. Environmental performance is embedded in how we operate and how we plan for the future. While this achievement is an important milestone, it reinforces our commitment to driving continued progress and striving for even higher levels of improvement year after year.”
The Platinum award reinforces Marcon’s position as a leading advocate for sustainability and environmental responsibility within Northern Ireland.
