Marcon has completed the fit-out of a new concept Scoop Shop for the world-famous ice cream maker Ben & Jerry’s.  The new standalone store is at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, one of the UK’s favourite theme parks.

The new shop immerses customers into a Ben & Jerry’s world allowing them to explore and discover the many euphoric flavours of ice cream.

Marcon worked closely with the design team from Beyond London to fit-out every element of the new store, right down to the feature milk bottle chandelier and neon clouds.

Marcon managed a team of specialist contractors and utilised its in-house joinery workshop to manufacture all of the specialist joinery elements within the new store.

Lorcan Hegarty, Project Manager, Marcon said “This was a really enjoyable project to be involved in.  Ben & Jerry’s will be such a popular location within LEGOLAND® and it is great to be able to showcase our work to the many visitors to the park.  This is such a fun space and we wish the team at Ben & Jerry’s every success with the store.”

When Ben Cohen & Jerry Greenfield started selling homemade ice cream out of a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vermont, it was personality and a little extra attitude that helped get the business off the ground.

Jerry said, “If it’s not fun, why do it?” Ben said “Every company has a responsibility to give back to the community.” Those two simple ideas became the driving philosophy of the Ben & Jerry’s brand.
