Project Description:
Marcon were appointed as Principal fit out contractor for the first privately-owned safe deposit box facility in Belfast.
With the closure of most bank safe deposit businesses, The Vaults Group business was created to meet the growing demand for top-tier vaults and secure deposit boxes and will provide a much-needed service for security-conscious individuals and businesses.
As well as jewellery and family heirlooms, the boxes are often used to store currency, gold, and silver bullion, watch collections, important documents such as title deeds, leases and wills, or items of sentimental value which are irreplaceable. Interest is also being driven by the rise of portable assets such as luxury watches and to store crypto-currency. They are also increasingly being used by businesses concerned about the risk of hacking, to store back-up data on memory sticks and computer hard drives.
Marcon completed works in the lobby areas, staff areas and the reception. Full scope of work included:
- Shopfront window
- Block walls to counter areas & existing door openings
- Partitions, Wall Linings including The Vault
- Frames and doors
- Mechanical, Electrical and plumbing installation
- 1st & 2nd fix Fire alarm, Intruder alarm and CCTV
- Roller Shutter Installation
- Install turnstile
- Ceilings & flooring
- Tiling
- Painting and decorating
- Specialist Joinery Installation including bespoke items such as reception area manufactured with laminate finish, Corian countertop, integrated LED lighting and recessed gold acrylic strips
- Loose furniture
- Testing and commissioning
