The new Vans store has opened its doors at Kildare Village.

Marcon were appointed as principal contractor by the leading action sports footwear and apparel retailer for the seven-week strip out of their existing unit and the full fit out of their new store at Kildare village. Through our robust onsite management processes, focus on project delivery as well as maintaining high standards of quality, we were able to achieve this ambition programme, giving our client time to merchandise the store before opening to the public.

The bright, new, and modern store replaces Vans former retail outlet on the same site.

The new store is located within Phase 3 of the Kildare development and offers around 1500 sq ft, of retail space and changing facilities as well as back of house staff facilities.

It has been fitted out to Vans and Kildare Village exacting standards and in line with the green lease agreement which prioritises sustainability and energy efficiency.  The new store has been fitted with a range of environmentally-friendly features such as high performance LED lighting, efficient water consumption fixtures and metering, HVAC Control systems and robust waste management plans were in place throughout the works.

The project incorporated shop front works, flooring, partitions, new MEP installation and all joinery items such as display bays, window plinths, light boxes, and cask desk counter.

Shoppers will now enjoy an enhanced shopping experience that includes an expanded product range, spacious aisles, and improved customer facilities.

Ross Mullan, Project Manager for Marcon commented: “This is our 7th store fit out for Vans.  We pride ourselves on developing close working partnerships with our clients.  This is achieved through continually delivering a quality project on time, on budget and through ongoing communication with the Client teams.  Our relationships are built on honesty, trust, and respect and I think these multiple project awards is evidence of that.”
