As part of National Apprenticeship Week 2018 we are taking time to highlight how apprenticeships benefit people, businesses, communities and our economy.
The week is designed to bring together everyone passionate about apprenticeships to encourage more people to choose apprenticeships as a fast-track to a great career and highlight the opportunities for business growth.
The theme for this year is ‘Apprenticeships Work’ to showcase how apprenticeships work for all. This year we have taken on two new apprentices within our specialist joinery workshop.
Jack Porter and Rhys Hemphill are currently completing their Level 2 NVQ in Bench Joinery and are both making great progress.
They spend 1 day each week in class and 4 days within our workshop, learning on the job specific training from our experienced joiners.
As a forward thinking business Marcon always has one eye on the next generation. As a local employer we are delighted to be able to offer apprenticeship opportunities to our young people who are looking for a challenging and rewarding career.
We will be looking to offer new apprenticeship opportunities later in the year so keep an eye on our website for more details.
