Marcon Fit-Out has helped leading toy retailer Toys “R” Us to introduce a new pop-up style store in Belfast.
The company has fitted out a 6,000 sq ft unit for the national brand in the city’s CastleCourt shopping centre.
It is the toy retailer’s fourth store in Northern Ireland – it also has large outlets in Lisburn, Newtownabbey and Derry-Londonderry – and is the latest in a series of city centre pop-up style stores which have been rolled out across the UK by Toys “R” Us.
Paul McMahon, Centre Director at CastleCourt, said: “CastleCourt is delighted to welcome Toys “R” Us to our expanding portfolio of strong retail tenants in the centre. The new store is a different concept for Toys “R” Us so we’re particularly pleased they have chosen CastleCourt, and early feedback has been very positive.
“The fit-out service from Marcon was efficient and professional which ensured the store could be opened on time to maximise the retail period in the run-up to Christmas.
“CastleCourt has invested significantly in the centre’s offering to ensure that we reflect the needs of customers and this Toys “R” Us store helps to build our line-up of family-friendly brands even further.”
The Upper Mall Level space in CastleCourt now occupied by Toys “R” Us features a wide range of toys, games and fun products.
Specific items for the new store were manufactured in Marcon’s specialist joinery workshop in Antrim where state-of-the-art machinery and expert craftsmanship combines to deliver bespoke joinery pieces.
Alan Stewart, Marcon’s Business Development Manager, said: “This project continues a long-standing relationship with CastleCourt and is the beginning of a relationship with the national toy retailer, which has been establishing itself in city centre locations across the UK with the pop-up style stores.”
